“Adventurers Club - New Member Welcome Party” by SteveCluck
The first library show of any evening was usually the New Member’s Welcome Party. Here Samantha Sterling (Betty Ann), aided by Fletcher (Big) would sing a few songs. Ended with the new comer to the club Emil. (Stud) who in getting prepared to be in front of a crowd to tell his tale later in the Balderdash Cup Competition. Sings a song to get the crowd warmed up to him. This had the added bonus of having a very good humored guest who assisted with the holding of the pet Slug. Recorded December 30th 2004. Songs: Those were the Days, The Thing, and Melvin the Mollusc.

Here’s another Disney club for adventurers that closed. This one is the Explorers Club in Disneyland, Paris. It was a table service restaurant where actors portraying famous explorers and adventurers on stage and there were animatronic plants and animals. A year after opening this table service restaurant closed and was replaced with Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost.

Bongo’s Jungle Juice - Adventurers Club, Pleasure Island
Enough to make any sane man go ape! The tongue tingling flavors of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, 151 and Cruzan Banana Rum along with orange, strawberry, cranberry and pineapple juices. This rare specialty drink can only be dared by the bravest of adventurers!
Yield:A Whole Lot!
Ingredients:1 bottle (750 ml) Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum
Method:
1 bottle Bacardi 151
1 bottle Cruzan Banana Rum
2 bottles Strawberry Daquiri Mix
2 bottles each: orange juice, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice.Mix all the ingredients and serve in a tall glass over ice.

Immediately, I deduced there was something quite unique about Adventurers Club that would make it worth future visits. Perhaps it was when the Yakoose starting talking; it was no ordinary stuffed animal head, unless those eyes following me around the room deceived me. Or maybe it was when the goddess Babylonia statue let down her stone-faced guard to address mere mortals.
